SALFORD CITY REDS FAMILY MEMBERSHIP & SEASON TICKETS 2010 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why not just sell a standard Season Ticket like usual?
Salford City Reds needs to grow as a business and as a Super League licensed operation. The Family Membership is a unique opportunity to bring significant savings and exceptional value for money to our fans, whilst at the same time provides us with the chance to grow our crowds and bring more income into the club without increasing the cost to our existing supporters and their families – something which is absolutely vital if we are to start to climb the Super League table and retain our license for 2012. The best opportunity for growth lies with our existing fans and this scheme gives them a fantastic opportunity to bring along family members at rock bottom prices!
Is it more expensive than last year?
On the contrary, the vast majority of people will save a considerable amount over last year, and everybody has the opportunity to affect how much they save by convincing others to attend with them. For example, in 2009 the Adult Early Bird price was £160 (based on £17 Match Day Admission); juniors cost £45 for U12s and £60 for 12-16 years old. So a couple with two teenage children would have paid £440. This year they will only pay £362! And that’s not even taking into account the gate price increase for 2010, which makes it an even bigger saving! Basically, the more people you sign up on your Family Membership the more you will save!
Which option do I need to buy?
To benefit from the incredible prices detailed on the included leaflet your family needs to join the Salford City Reds Family Membership scheme. A single, one-off payment covers your whole family and gives all qualifying members the FULL BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP (T&Cs apply, see reverse of application form for details). Once your family has joined the scheme you can then choose whether to buy a great value Season Ticket, or if you can’t commit to every game take Pay As You Go Membership and pay a vastly reduced entry fee, or any combination of the two depending on the individual needs of your family!
I’m single, what about me?
If you are an adult who lives alone and wants to buy a Season Ticket then you will pay £180 (£50 membership and £130 Season Ticket), or you can pay £50 for Membership and just £12 per game. This is still great value, especially when you consider all the benefits such as Free Magic Weekend, Challenge Cup Round 4 and, if you choose the season ticket option, a Free Shirt, and you always have the opportunity to increase the value of your deal by signing up any qualifying family members! For comparison, if you paid on the gate and just came to the 13 Super League games it would cost you £234 with no additional benefits! It really is a no-brainer. And of course even though you’re single if you live with any other family then you can sign them up on your Family Membership to save more!
If I buy a Season Ticket does everyone on my Family Membership have to buy a Season Ticket?
No! In fact we are encouraging people to mix and match – for example if you come to every game but your wife only comes occasionally you should add her to your Membership as a Pay As You Go Member – then she benefits from the hugely discounted entry price! She can attend one game, five games, all thirteen games – it is up to the member! And even better, she gets all the other benefits of membership all for NO EXTRA COST! So you should really sign up everyone who lives in your household and any children or grandchildren they may have! THEY WILL NOT PAY A PENNY and you will be getting unbelievable value for money from your Family Membership!
*Free 2010 Away Replica only available to Season Ticket purchasers
Do I have to buy the membership to get a season ticket?
No, you don’t, however the Family Membership discounted prices and additional benefits offer such incredible value that it would always be better to become a member rather than buy a standalone Season Ticket. They are available however, with a very simple pricing formula which is detailed over the page.
How much is a season ticket without buying a membership?
You get three games free for buying a non-members’ Season Ticket – there are 13 Home games so you only pay for 10, meaning the price you pay for a non-members Season Ticket is 10 x the non-members Match Day Prices (below)
How much will it cost to pay on the day next season?
Members Non-Members
Adult Standing/Family Stand Seat £12 £18
Concession Standing/Family Stand Seat £7 £13
Junior Standing/Family Stand Seat £3 £8
Main Stand Transfer £5 £5
Okay, I’m convinced. How many people can I have on the membership?
You are not limited in terms of numbers; only by the number of family members living at your address (proof of address will be required for each member). So for example, if you have two related adults living in your household and there are three children in total then all are covered by the one £50 payment!
What constitutes a family?
For the purposes of this offer we are designating a family as all related adults living at the same address and their children (address will be verified for adults – see T&Cs on reverse of Application form)
We are not married but live together. Are we excluded?
No, you and any children would qualify for family membership.
Who qualifies as a Concession?
Anyone over the age of 60 as qualifying for Concessionary status, along with full-time students (see below for more on students). All concessions will be issued with a photo ID smart card to ensure that only the holder can benefit.
What age is a junior?
For the 2010 season anyone who is under 16 by 31 August 2010 will qualify for junior prices.
I am a student, what form of ID do you accept? NUS Card?
We only accept valid student ID issued by your college or university. We will not accept an NUS Card as proof of student status as they are too easily acquired by non-students. All students attending an educational establishment will have been issued with, or can request a student ID card – this is what will be required.
I am a part-time student; do I qualify for student discount?
Unfortunately only those in full-time education qualify for the concessionary price, however if you are 16-19, unemployed and feel you need help with the cost of watching the Reds contact steve.mcnally@reds.co.uk or call on 0161 736 6564 and we will help where possible.
I am registered Disabled and need a carer. How much will we pay?
Salford City Reds complies fully with RFL policy drawn up in conjunction with the Rugby League Disabled Supporter’s Association (RLDSA) on this issue. This states that we should charge the Disabled supporter full price so as to avoid positively discriminating against them, and offer their carer an identical ticket free of charge. Unfortunately we cannot provide the additional Membership and Season Ticket benefits to the carer. Your carer will be issued with Photo ID to ensure hassle free entry to the stadium.
My child needs an adult sized shirt – what do I do?
You will have to pay a £10 surcharge to upgrade to an adult away shirt for a junior season ticket holder. Adult sizes are considered to be anything above YTH (chest size 40”+) – see Application form for full size chart
