Both Wigan and Bradford conceeded more points than us there in recent weeks. I love the way there can be no concept that they are actually a very good team, finding form and playing ata very difficult place to get to.

Jacko – You were conspicuous by your absence in posting on match reports after Warrington and Leeds wins…:-)

I am not making excuses, I am putting forward possible reasons, which you simply don’t want to listen to. Promoted teams come into Super League, generally suffer a lot of heavy defeats and pull out some stunning wins in the process….

And of course Catalans were tired but I’d rather have had their three previous games of

Wigan (H)
Quins (A)
Bradford (H)

rather than our…

Hull (A)
Wolves (H)
Leeds (A)
followed by a trip to France.

Three out of four at home with no travelling. As opposed to our three out of 4 away. If you don;t think that would have an effect then fine…

You can understand players being tired after such a hectic schedule and, as mentioned by Paul, the trip to France is never the best preparation for a match but every rugby league player over the weekend must have been tired.

Despite the recent results, losing to Catalans is not the end of the world, its just the manner of the result thats upsetting. Most teams will take the trip over there and come out on the wrong side of the scoreboard so lets give the lads the benefit of the doubt. The best test will be our next home game. Lets see how they perform after a rest and infront of our typically vocal home supporters.

Every game played by the Catalans involves the same 11 hours travelling ,thats every single game not just the odd one,so to follow your reasoning Paul they should lose every away game game due to their tireness, (EDIT: swear again and posting right will be removed.) ,you are once again making excuses, but as I have said before they are your work collegues!!!! need I say any more.

i dident go to the match but some people payed 200+pounds to get to the match maybe some dident but its still alot of money to see the reds lose at least we lost with pride intact

Why are they tired? 4 games in 13 days and an 11 hour travel to the South of France?

No other professional sport does this…

How many other teams have looked jaded?

Warrington, Hudds, Wigan, Bradford, Leeds etc etc…

Maybe there is something in it after all…these blokes get smashed about week in week out…

Plus, Catalans are a very good side and won;t lose many more on their home patch this season.

sorry to be saying this i dont want to call the players but i think after 3 fantastic wins these players should not have been beaten like that the manager making up excuses again that they were tired what about catalans they have played the same game same old salford same old problems i am sick of these type of scores sort it out fast shocking
