Henry Back For Bank Holiday 19-Man Squad
April 11, 2009 by Paul Mc
Former North Queensland flyer Mark Henry returns to the Reds squad for the Easter Monday round at Headingley Carnegie. The Reds have recorded back to back wins away at Hull FC and in the Good Friday against the Warrington Wolves and have confounded critics with the sudden upturn in form after six straight defeats previously.
Henry almost made the squad for Friday but Head Coach Shaun McRae decided that after his lay-off he would only be fit to take part in one of the games over the Easter programme. He replaces Adam Sidlow in the 19. Karl Fitzpatrick could also be available after missing the Wolves game through illness.
All eyes will again be on Richie Myler and Luke Adamson, the youngsters who were outstanding in the derby victory. The Reds have never won at Headingley in the Super League era and with the Rhinos having lost their previous two games, Round 9 is shaping up to be another thriller.
Reds 19 Man Squad to face Leeds Rhinos: Fitzpatrick, Wilshere, McGilvray, Henry, Smith, Myler, Sidlow, Cashmere, Alker, Stapleton, Parker, Swain, Turner, Littler, Leuluai, Paul, Ratchford, Adamson, Jewitt
