Reds’ Captain Malcolm Alker is looking for the Reds to start big against the Wolves on Friday at The Willows (3pm). After leading his team to a superb victory in the Carnegie Challenge Cup 4th Round last Sunday against Hull FC, he is looking to build on the confidence gained in that game and sniff out two more engage Super League points.

“We managed to stay int he game a lot longer last week and by the 50th minute we knew we were in with a shout. The Easter fixtures are tough but we know it’s the same for everybody but by Monday we’ll be playing with bruises on bruises but that’s part and parcel of the game.

“We are looking to make sure we get a big start against Warrington, they are a team in transition at the moment but you can see now under Tony Smith that they are beginning to gel. Derby Day is a huge day for our fams who were terrific at Hull. It would great to get Easter started by keeping that smile on their faces.”
