Myler Shines As England Crush Sorry Welsh
October 10, 2008 by Paul Mc
The Red’s teenage starlet Richie Myler shone on his England debut scoring two tries and setting up several others as Tony Smith’s side crushed the Welsh 74-0 in this pre-World Cup warm-up game.
Myler may not be heading Down Under for this World Cup but he proved his potential at the highest level of the game with an assured performance that was unlucky not to reward him with the Man of the Match.
His England debut rounds off a phenomenal season for the youngster, who prior to arriving at Salford had made just two substitute appearances for the Widnes Vikings.
Now he will have it all to prove as he will arrive in Super League touted as one of the game’s bright young talents and he will doubtless be looking to get people talking about him in 2009.
