Halliwell and Jewitt sign for Reds

Salford City Reds can confirm the capture of Danny Halliwell from Leigh Centurions in a one year deal that will bring the highly-rated centre to The Willows.
Halliwell will provide much needed competition for places in the three-quarters and Steve Simms was understandably excited about the latest addition to Karl Harrison’s squad.
“Danny is an exciting player who can score tries from all over. He will add greatly to out firepower and we are very pleased with the way things are shaping up for next season.”
Halliwell was named in this season’s NL1 Dream Team earlier this week.
The Reds have also signed forward Lee Jewitt from Wigan Warriors. The 19-year-old forward played in the Warriors has made two Super League appearances for the Warriors and is a highly rated prospect for the future.
