Salford City Reds stars arrived at The Trafford Centre on a charity mission last Saturday – carrying Christmas Shoppers bags to their cars for a donation to the Kirsty Appeal.
TV crews and press all turned out to see the players carrying bags and parcels for tired shoppers, worn out by the Christmas slog raising valuable funds and profile for the Appeal.
The Kirsty Appeal has raised nearly £5 million for Francis House and the Rainbow Family Trust and Salford City Reds are delighted to have been able to help our partners the Trafford Centre in this event.
About Kirsty…
Kirsty was born with her heart back to front, so all other organs are misplaced. Kirsty has a single pumping heart chamber and has had nine Cardiac procedures. Her day to day living is severely restricted by abnormal blood vessels developing in her lung. Kirsty is unique and the only child in Great Britain (in fact there has only been one other child in the World) with her condition.
