The club are happy to welcome new girl Louise Baker on-board full time frm today. Louise has been working for the past 10 days with us in our Retail Department and has made such a difference we’ve now taken her on full time.

We have a lot of big plans for the Retail Department over the coming months and have new stock arriving in the very near future including gifts for Christmas including framed, personalised 2006 shirts, a new range of babywear and our new ladies range.

We have been busy working behind the scenes with some major suppliers as well as ISC our Official Kit Manufacturer to bring a range of great goods unequalled in the club’s history including our brand new 2006 on-field and off-field apparel.

So pop into the store and put a face to the new name and come and have a chat and treat yourself to a season ticket for Super League XI so you don’t miss a minute of next season’s world-class and affordable sport.

Meanwhile there are still great bargains to be had with the remaining 2005 stock with replica shirts down to £25 and ladies t-shirts as low as £2 making ideal stocking fillers for everybody.

Finally we also welcome another new face – Kate Parkinson to our media department while saying goodbye to stalwart Media Manager Carolyn Derbyshire who has moved on.

Kate, along with Paul McNally and Alex Keenan now comprise our Media and Marketing team so watch for lots of changes in that department.

Final Home Game Preview

September 8, 2005 by Paul Mc · Comments Off

The curtain comes down on another year of rugby at The Willows on Friday night with the arrival for the final time of the London Broncos.

Next season the Broncos will morph into Harlequins RL so this visit will mark the end of an era for Reds v London clashes.

The home campaign opened with a narrow victory against the Broncos and Karl Harrison and his men will be hoping to send the fans home happy for the last time in 2005.

For the Reds it has been once again a mixed season. From the highs of destroying Grand Final chasing Warrington Wolves to losing 14-point leads, and ultimately four Super League points on consecutive weeks.

London may be the last home match of Super League X but the Reds will have their eye on winning both this and the final fixture away at the Centurions to give them a season haul of 22 points, which many would consider acceptable.

With the Centurions long since relegated that should be, on paper, the simpler of the two fixtures, but Leigh are sure to want to go out with a bang after their year in the limelight.

London meanwhile could really do with the points. With Wigan playing St Helens this week a win at The Willows could almost cement their playoff spot.

Harrison however will be determined to drum into the players that they need two wins out of two to finish the campaign on a high.

In between the two fixtures the Reds have their Player of the Year Awards to be held at The Willows on Monday Evening where Sky Sports’ Eddie Hemmings will be host.

Watch this space for news from that event.

Salford 20-man squad: Hodgson, Rutgerson, Littler, McAvoy, Fitzpatrick, Beverley, Robinson, Jonkers, Alker, Langi, Coley, Stewart, Charles, Brocklehurst, Haggerty, Baldwin, Highton, Sibbit, Clough, Hartley.
